Get the skills you need to climb taller, bigger walls at the Cascades’ premiere traditional climbing destination!

Ever wondered how you might take your newly minted traditional climbing skills and apply them so you could climb ALL the way to the top of a wall rather than just a single pitch? This course is meant to jump start you into the world of multipitch climbing, the climbing discipline that opens up vast swaths of new terrain to the aspiring climber. Learn the foundations of how to manage you and your climbing partners to have the safest and most rewarding experience every time you set out on the wall. The course will dig into the nuances behind belay station management, rope mangement, climbing–descent transitions, and even a few tricks of the trade to make your day even more efficient.

Get all those skills and more at one of Washington’s best places to climb! Nestled in the Cascades in the shadow of Mount Index and Mount Baring and rising up out of the Skykomish River, Index has some of the best views and alpine surroundings of any crag in the US. Famed climber Tommy Caldwell has even claimed it has a special place in his heart that even Yosemite does not fill! Courses here can even end with a perfect afternoon river swim!
